Apologies I haven't posted anything in a while. I know it personally frustrates me when I go to look at other's blogs and they haven't written anything recently. Unfortunately I am unable to post any pictures because I left my camera somewhere and haven't gotten it back yet. But I can fill you in on the latest.
Lately. . . Tate's been saying some new words. His newest favorite is "uh-oh," he's also very adept at saying Dada, Mama, ball, and just learned Papa yesterday. It's so amazing to see how much he learns and absorbs everyday.
. . . Aaron's been busy with coaching football and going to Iowa games. I know he loves it, but it's also fairly exhausting of his time and energy. He's also been subbing at the middle school and high school this year.
. . . I work full time at Mary Greeley in Ames, but do have a day off every other week, which I love. Most days after work I come home, play with Tate, make supper, give his bath and send him off to bed around 8. We've got a pretty good routine figured out and it's working as of right now.
. . . We've been trying to wean Tate from the bottle. We're only doing bottles at bedtime, and a big sippy cup of milk when he first wakes up, which pretty is equivalent to a bottle, but it's not- technically. I'm somewhat dreading giving up the bottle completely, just seems like a daunting task that could be painful. If any mothers have suggestions, send them our way.
. . . Recently, we've been able to enjoy a lot of pork loin, and Tate loves it! I don't know what it is about this kid, but he doesn't care for plain hamburger, turkey or chicken, he wants lots of flavor and spice. So far, there's been no ill consequences and I'm all about packing on the pounds to his lean little body.
. . . I'll be adding pictures of some of the latest "adventures" so please- don't give up on my blog, I promise to do better :)
