If I were a rich man. . .

Brittni was home to visit and we celebrated her birthday with an ice cream cake.  She was wearing this pretty scarf and while she was out of the room I took the opportunity to have Tate don the scarf.  He looked so beautiful, it reminds me of "Fiddler On the Roof."  I'm sure he'll love seeing this picture at his highschool graduation party.

Oh Baboushka!

Get this thing off!

Chickens!

Random. . .

Slacking

Once again, I've found myself slacking in the blog department.  The weather last week was so amazing we were outside every chance we could get.  And that is definitely the way Tate prefers it, he can be a bit of a bear to get inside.  He's also found a new friend next door with our neighbor boy, Tayte, who is a 3rd grader (I think).  The neighbors also have chickens, that were free range chickens last week while they constructed a new chicken coop for them.  Tate loved it!  He chased those chickens all over the place.  I don't have my pictures uploaded, but I know I have a few shots to share.
Last week was spring break for the Roland-Story school district so we had a lot of afternoon walks with Daddy.  This week Aaron starts coaching middle school track, so we lose our stroller pusher.  But it's a short season and they had a pretty successful season last year.
Last week Tate also became 18 months old.  He is a full on toddler.  He thinks he needs to run or strut his stuff everywhere, is learning boundaries, eating like an animal, talking, singing and dancing.  Every stage has become more fun.  Tate loves to visit the moo-cows, be outside, climb onto anything, play in water and wrestle with his Daddy.  We also got his haircut for the 2nd time last week, so he'd be looking handsome for my cousin Kelani's upcoming wedding.
     More to come soon...

Carson's

Back in January Pete, Molly, Alivia, and Brynnley Carson came to visit us for some lunch and for the kids to meet.  Alivia and Tate got along very well, Brynnley was only 13 weeks old at the time, but she was such a good little baby and barely made a peep.  Alivia is about 3 months older than Tate, and they haven't come to the "I will not share anything with you" stage yet, so they had a good time going down the slide and shared a few smooches.  It was so great to see Pete & Molly, our lives have changed so much, it's harder to get together, but always enjoy seeing them.

Train Park continued

He loved the sprinkler, his head was sopping wet, but dried quickly in the hot sun!

Look, a pinecone! (lighting was great)

Train Park

While we were in Arizona, we met up with my cousin, Kay at the McCormick Train Park in Scottsdale.  This place was fantastic!  They had a huge model train building, real trains you could walk through, a carousel, a mini riding train, and an enormous playground.  Tate was in heaven, he could run wherever he wanted, climb on all the play equipment and got ice cream to boot!  We spent a good chunk of our afternoon running around the train park.  I wish we could go there every week.

Nice shades man
